Got my first silver star

Well my first weigh-in and I get my first silver star, because I lost seven pounds. Feeling very chuffed by myself and managed to ignore all those negative comments today, which ranged from "it's unhealthy to lose that much weight so quick" to "it will get harder as you go on". Well duh, I know losing weight is going to be hard. If it was that easy, I would have been a skinny minny a long time ago.

First week on Weightwatchers

I have 26 points to use daily and have found food wise, it has been relatively easy. Being accountable for my points has encouraged me not to eat rubbish and save my points for something more filling. Some days, it has actually been hard to use all my points and I haven't been really hungry at any point. I think right now, I have been teaching myself to recognise when I am full. Previously, I would think I wasn't full and would polish off dinner with a chocolate bar or packet of crisps.

The hardest thing has been coffee and chocolate withdrawal, I had decided that I didn't want to waste points on sugar and milk for coffee, and save them for my food. By Thursday, I hit the biggest slump ever and started to get headaches, which I recognised were from caffeine withdrawal. As soon as I had a drink of Pepsi Max, which is no points, then I felt so much better in myself.

I now no longer feel sluggish from over-eating, feel slightly healther, and am feeling really positive that Monday's weigh-in will be a good one.

Best of all, I have saved enough points for a few vodkas tonight.

History of Weight

So after years of putting on weight due to depro jab, crash-course dieting too quick and over-eating, I have finally decided to take matters into my own hands and start Weight Watchers. I last did Weight Watchers some years ago, but was told by my leader at the time that my weight gain was due to other factors, which is why I wasn't losing any weight. Finally, blood tests revealed it was due to hormone levels caused by depro-jab.

Anyway, I had found WW quite easy to follow the last time so had decided this was an obvious choice for me. It would help me to make healthier choices, and work out whether a seemingly healthy food is really that healthy. I decided that as I have digital scales at home, then I would do the online WW only and weigh myself on a Monday.
